Fast Fishing Leveling in Heartopia

Fishing is easy to start — and surprisingly easy to optimize once you treat it as a route + checklist.

This guide focuses on consistent XP: more encounters per minute, less downtime, and always pushing your collection forward.

The XP loop that actually works

You want volume, but not at the cost of catching the same thing forever. The best leveling pace usually comes from combining:

  • Volume (many catches per session)
  • Quality (better fish / better star results)
  • Collection progress (new entries tend to push progress faster)

Play it like a run: pick 2–4 areas and loop them.

If you're getting too many repeats, rotate zones (even if it's not 'optimal' on paper).

Use your collection as a compass: what's missing becomes your priority.

Keep /tracker open on a second screen and mark catches as you go.

Database

Browse all fish and collection filters.

Tool

Collection tracker

Open it on a second screen and mark what you already caught.

Easy grind setup: Mermaid Tail + Mermaid Perfume

This is the "lazy but efficient" setup: use buffs to speed up your fishing cycle and reduce friction.

Fishing buffs are about reducing downtime and increasing encounters per session.
Mermaid Fish Attractor

Tool • Fishing buff

A popular buff tool to keep fishing sessions flowing (more attempts per session, less downtime).

How to use
Fishing tool (availability varies by version/shop/event)
Best used with a short rotation loop across nearby spots
Mermaid Perfume
Mermaid Perfume
Tool • Fishing buff
//

A widely used buff to speed up your fishing rhythm when you're grinding XP.

How to use
Fishing tool (availability varies by version/shop/event)
Stronger when you're looping multiple areas consistently

The point isn't "guaranteed rare fish". It's consistency: more attempts per minute = more XP and more chances to move the collection forward.

Spot rotation: how to choose without overthinking

You want areas where you can chain fishing spots with minimal travel time.

Grind checklist

Open /fish and focus on what's missing in your collection.

Open /tracker and mark catches live (second screen helps a lot).

Loop for 10–15 minutes. If repeats spike, rotate zones.

When you have buffs (Attractor/Perfume), use them during your grind block.

Collections are 'hidden XP': pushing new entries keeps your progress moving.
Consistency beats obsession. Pace wins.
Should I stay in one spot or rotate?

Rotation usually wins because it prevents repeat-lock. When your collection stalls, **changing zones** tends to unlock progress.

Why use Attractor + Perfume?

They help sessions stay **smooth**. The goal is more attempts per minute and less downtime.

Where do I track missing entries?

Use [[FISH]] for the database and [[TRACKER]] to mark progress live (second screen recommended).
