Currencies in Heartopia (Gold, Wishing Stars, Heart Diamonds, and more)

Heartopia uses a multi-currency system. Some currencies are free (earned by playing), some are premium (bought with money), and some are event-only (use them while the event is active).

Gold is the everyday currency, but gachas and events often use their own currencies (like Exhibition Passes or Pink Gacha Coins).

Overview

| Currency | Icon | What it’s for | Common ways to get | |---|---:|---|---| | Gold | Gold | Regular shops, recipes, seeds, furniture, upgrades. | Gameplay, quests, selling items. | | Wishing Star | Wishing Star | “Free-but-special” purchases (often furniture/clothing). | Resident wishes, social linking (varies), sometimes codes/events. | | Heart Diamond | Heart Diamond | Premium currency for store conversions and premium content. | Bought with real money (top-up). | | Moonlight Crystal | Moonlight Crystal | Premium items in the Acorn Store and some premium systems. | Exchange from Heart Diamonds, codes/events (varies). | | Exhibition Pass | Exhibition Pass | Gacha pulls in the Gilded Acorn Exhibition (Exhibit Blind Boxes). | Exchange using Heart Diamonds, events/mail/codes (varies). | | Exhibition Ticket Stub | Exhibition Ticket Stub | Buy special/recolored items in the Exhibition souvenir/redemption shop. | Obtained from duplicate pulls (converted automatically). | | Pink Gacha Coin | Pink Gacha Coin | Event-limited gacha pulls (Event tab). | Event quests/missions (Event tab). |

Gold

Gold is the main free currency. You earn it constantly and spend it everywhere (shops, recipes, seeds, furniture, upgrades).

If you care about steady Gold, build a routine: quests + selling surplus + cooking/gathering loops.

Wishing Star

Wishing Stars are the most important “free alternative” currency for a lot of basic unlocks and cosmetic-style purchases. Common sources include resident wishes and some social/event actions (patch-dependent).

Heart Diamond

Heart Diamonds are the main premium currency (top-up). They are usually the starting point for premium purchases and conversions.

Don’t buy “speed-ups” early just because you can. Premium currencies are easiest to waste when you are rushing.

Moonlight Crystal

Moonlight Crystals are typically used to buy premium items in the Acorn Store and other premium systems. They can be obtained via exchange from Heart Diamonds, and sometimes through redeem codes or events (when available).

Some guides list a common exchange rate of 1 Heart Diamond → 10 Moonlight Crystals, but always trust what your in-game store shows (rates can change).

Exhibition Pass

Exhibition Passes are used for gacha pulls in the Gilded Acorn Exhibition. A commonly documented cost is 6 Passes for 1 wish and 60 Passes for 10 wishes, often with a “rare guaranteed” rule on 10-pulls. Common ways to get them:

  • Exchange using Heart Diamonds
  • Event rewards / in-game mail gifts
  • Sometimes redeem codes (not always active)

Some passes can be time-limited (the item itself shows the expiry). If it says it expires, spend it before that date.

Exhibition Ticket Stub

Ticket Stubs are “duplicate conversion” currency. When you pull a duplicate in some exhibitions, it converts into stubs, and you spend those in a special souvenir/redemption shop to target specific items (often recolors).

Pink Gacha Coin

Pink Gacha Coins are usually event-only gacha currency (Event tab). You typically earn them from event missions/quests and spend them on the limited event machine while it is active.

Treat event coins as “use during the event”. After the event ends, they may become unusable.

Other currencies you may see (not covered by icons yet)

Some systems use additional “currencies” that aren’t part of gacha/store icons. One example mentioned in guides is Contribution Medals, used for D.G. membership upgrades. We’ll add these as your database/icons expand.

FAQ

What should I focus on first as a new player?

Gold and Wishing Stars. They drive most early progression and everyday purchases.

Do event currencies expire?

Often, yes in practice: event currencies are usually only useful while the event is active. Always check the event page and item descriptions.

How many Exhibition Passes per wish?

Commonly documented: 6 Passes = 1 wish, and 60 Passes = 10 wishes. Always verify in-game because costs can change.

How do I get Exhibition Ticket Stubs?

They typically come from duplicate pulls converting into stubs automatically, then you spend them in the Exhibition souvenir/redemption shop.
